Simply plant, give fertiliser and reap the fruit. It doesn't even require much care. The specie is a latin american cactus, after all!
WHY US ?
mature orchard
The rooted cuttings we supply are from our 4-year old mature orchard.
Overwhelming response
We only used cuttings from the plants that have borne fruit consistently over the the last three years. We have received an overwhelming response for our red dragon fruit.
Unfortunately, we supply our fruits on a wholesale basis to a select few distributors in Bhopal. Therefore we can't fulfill small orders regularly.
rooted & ready
But, we found a solution! Why not provide the rooted plants instead, so that you can grow your own in your kitchen garden. You can expect fruit within one year of planting. Let it achieve full maturity and you will
have more than enough for your friends
and family.
Frequently asked questions
Why choose siam - red dragon fruit?
Yeah yeah, we know, you have tried dragon fruit at weddings and didn't like it. We can bet it was white pulp. The problem there is, white pulp dragon fruit doesn't have a high brix score. Brix score testing machine tests the sweetness of a fruit. Siam - red variety has a higher brix score.
How do we pollinate?
It is self-pollinating, so you don't need to manually pollinate. Just plant and chill.
How to plant?
The best way to plant is, using a trellis system. But you can also make do with planting in a regular gamla on your terrace or balcony. Its a creeper, anything goes. You can even plant it at the boundary of your kitchen garden or terrace.
How much do I irrigate?
Apply half a litre of water every other day. Thats it.
What fertiliser do I have to give?
At the time of Planting you can give Basacote mini 16-8-12 at the rootzone. After that, you can simply provide vermicompost 3 times a year or farm yard manure once a year.
Can I propogate and make my own dragon fruit plants?
Absolutely. But wait until your plants have consistently fruited for 4 years. Once the plant is mature, you can harvest the mature cuttings and make your own dragon fruit plants too.
